There is a small hidden beach located on the north side of the Island Kauai that is a gem. Not many people visit it due to the lack of signage and steep climb to get down to it. It is knows as “Hideaway Beach“
One plus for this beach is there is a small parking lot right at the beginning of the trail head. (Be early if you want a parking spot on a nice day) The Trail head is super easy to miss and it took us a few mins to find it as there was a well paved trail that lead to another beach close by that look much more maintained and could easily be mistaken and the trail to the beach you are looking for. You will know you are on the right path when you are walking between the apartment/resort building and a chain link fence towards the ocean, after which you walk past the apartment building swimming pool.
The hike down was steep but also easy enough for us to bring some towels, and beach toys. As long as you can stay balanced, and have no major physical challenges you would be able to make this hike without a problem.
After just a couple minutes of hiking this beautiful small beach comes into view from underneath the amazing tropical foliage. A sight you will not forget. Just wish we would have taken more pictures. 🙂
